Karen Tatum's talent is evident once you have viewed her art pieces. Her paintings are painted with rich, vibrant colors. The self taught artist has been drawing with pencil and painting in acrylics for the past four years. Karen's art subject matter includes pencil portraits, landscapes, floral, seascapes and abstracts. She continues to experiment with new subject matter and mediums. Karen Tatum resides in Sanford, N.C. with her husband, Jim, and children, Amber and Heath. She is currently serving as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Sanford Brush and Palette Club. Karen has Co-Chaired the Annual Art Show for the last three years. The club has proven to provide inspiration for Karen's artistic endeavors. Karen Tatum was awarded 3rd place in the Collage category at the 2007 Brush and Palette Annual Art Show. |
